Sure, you can learn scripting for game engines. Alone. On a laptop. In the dark...but:
Game Design professionals often say that the most important skills for students entering the industry are empathy, critical thinking skills, ability to iterate on ideas based on feedback, and COMMUNICATION!
This project focuses on color ink cartridges and refills to unlock the power of student projects and group presentations in our Game Design class and FabLab/Game Design Studio/Computer Science classroom.
We have two color printers that students love to use: Epson WF-7720 and Epson PM-400. To keep the ink filled on these machines, we're requesting EPSON 252 DURABrite Ultra Ink High Capacity Black & Standard Color Cartridge Combo Pack (T252XL-BCS) and EPSON 320, as well as Officenter T502 502 Ink Refill Bottles and Epson 522 EcoTank Ink Ultra-high Capacity Bottle Black & Color Combo Pack (T522120-BCS). In addition to CMYK ink, we're requesting Koala Photo Paper 11x17.
To help students iterate on their invented tile-based games, we hope to procure a Brother P-Touch PT- D610BT Label Maker along with TZ Tape 24mm in colors like Black on White/Clear/Yellow/Red/Blue/Green, and Laminated White, and Black Tape.
The TIMESETL 5 Pcs Piezo Contact Microphone Pickups will enable students to install a system to amplify our existing classroom loudspeaker (so we can hear daily announcements). This enables applied learning, so students learn that they live in a world where improvements are always possible.
For more analog tools, we will use the ZEONHAK 20 Pack 12 Inches Stainless Steel Rulers and Mod Podge Matte Sealer to cut and seal paper, vinyl, and mixed-media materials.
