Each day I have a group of third grade students who meet with me to practice their reading skills. My group is working on building their reading comprehension skills and vocabulary! These games would be the perfect addition to my reading intervention class.
Students learn best through play and exploration!
By having educational games available I hope to inspire my students to practice “boring” skills in a fun and low risk environment. Sometimes practicing skills in the classroom can be intimidating, but during game play kids are more forgiving of themselves and others.
Structured games allow students to work together and build their communication and soft skills. This will carry them further in their careers as adults while also supporting grade level learning. My vision is to use a combination of educational games and small group learning to help students achieve their reading growth goals.
