Gain Back Learning Loss Through Great Books

Help me give my students access to books to suit a variety of reading levels, interests, and native languages. Getting books in kids' hands is one of the best ways of improving lower-than-normal reading levels due to COVID.

My Students

My students are fantastic! They represent a wide range of skills and backgrounds. Some are at a first grade reading level while others are at an 11th.

We work hard together in this inclusive classroom!

I teach students from a wide variety of backgrounds, countries, and socio-economic situations.

My Project

Access to books that students want to read is the best way to get students caught up! Most of our students are below grade level in their reading, in part because of all that's happened in the past two years.

The best way to gain back those reading levels is to get students reading, and the best way to get students reading is to provide them with ample books that hit a variety of interests and complexities.

These books will be available in class as well as to check out and take home. This will encourage students to continue learning and developing a love for reading so that they can recover what's been lost in light of COVID-19.
