it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We live in Los Angeles and although many might disagree, it does get cold here during the winter time. Our thermometer may rarely hit the 30's or 40's but our classroom still gets chilly. I would like to have small blankets that will help my students stay warm in class and help them focus on learning and the lessons at hand.
Unfortunately we don't have access to control the temperature in our classroom and in Los Angeles It might be warm one day and super chilly the next.
My students sometimes don't come prepared for that day's weather and tend to get cold in class, on those days I get many complains about the coldness and it constantly interrupts our lessons. Students can't focus when they're cold. I would like to have these blankets avalaible for my students so they can stay warm and therefor focus on their lessons and assignments instead of the feeling of feeling cold. These blankets are great because they have the ability to be folded and stored in a way that won't take up much room. We also need a few extra blankets so that when I take some home to wash, we will still have some ready to keep my students warm in class.
