My Project

At our Title I school, where many families face financial challenges, I’ve noticed that hunger can create a significant barrier to learning. For students, feeling hungry during the school day doesn’t just impact their comfort—it affects their ability to concentrate, participate, and retain what they learn. That’s why I’m seeking your support to provide healthy snacks in my classroom, ensuring my students have the energy they need to thrive.

Research shows that access to proper nutrition plays a critical role in cognitive development and academic performance.

When students are hungry, it’s harder for them to focus on solving math problems, engaging in group discussions, or expressing their creativity in art and writing. I can help eliminate this barrier by having snacks available, allowing every child in my class to engage in their education fully.
