This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve as a Future Ready Librarian at a bilingual Title I school. We have 730+ students, ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade, with over 90% coming from low-income backgrounds. STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) projects are examples of project-based learning. STEM projects guide students in strengthening their inquiry, communication, and critical thinking skills. These activities also develops the student's creativity, collaboration and teamwork skills, confidence, innovation, motivation, perseverance, and risk-taking.

My scholars need access to a variety of different activities in the Makerspace such as the STEM Electric Building Engineering Science Experiment kits.

They love taking things apart and putting them together, so they need resources like the STEM Electric Building Engineering Science Experiment kits to support their project-based learning activities and lessons.

To help my students complete their assigned STEM project tasks for the upcoming year, they need access to a well-stocked Makerspace. They need a variety of activities so they can explore and satisfy their curiosity about the world around them! They need the STEM Activity book and additional STEM Electric Building Engineering Science Experiment Kits to use with their learning activities.
