My students need a Science Discovery Chest to explore our world and become inspired! We also need Magnetic Coins and Bills, plus a Match & Learn Money Center to practice our money skills in centers and whole group.
"Houston, we have a problem!" We need some up-to-date science tools to help these future scientists excel! Our classroom is in desperate need of new activity kits so that our students can conduct science experiments.
Our school is 90% poverty level with most of the students in need of basic necessities.
We provide free breakfast to all students and free or reduced lunch to 90% of the school. Many of the students are living with grandparents or an extended family. They do not have the ability to go out and buy science kits or materials on their own.
My Project
I want to inspire my class to aim for the stars! I want them to see that their future is wide open and I hope that by sparking their interest in science and engineering I can open them up to the possibility of a better future. If we can inspire children at a young age to pursue these fields then we set them up for a bright future. I want my students to reach higher and work harder for their own futures.
This project would allow my classroom to be more kinesthetic and allow the students to do more of the discovery on their own.
