This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a 8th grade science teacher in a high needs area with an extremely diverse area with multiple languages present.
We have most of the tools we need, but due to cuts in our budget, are unable to provide funds to replace the specimens we use up every year.
We are hoping to develop curriculum which is oriented towards using specimens to help students understand adaptation and anatomy.

You will make it possible for students in an urban school district to experience the use of anatomy, how medical careers learn and understand, and how different organisms adapt and survive in their environment.
