My Students

I teach a class of 28 amazing second graders. They are loving, intelligent, kind, and funny. They come to school wanting to learn and become better citizens.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and most come from families at lower income levels.

Many of my students come from challenging home environments and have limited resources at home. Many of them do not have basic supplies to help them succeed. The one thing they all have in common is that they are eager to learn.

My Project

My students love to engage in hands-on learning. Every day, they amaze me with their ability to create and engineer buildings, vehicles, and bridges. They work together in collaborative groups and design wonderful, creative projects.

As a teacher, it is my goal to provide the materials for my students to succeed in STEM education.

I am requesting Magformers so that my students will have opportunities to engage in real, hands-on building and creating. They will be able to collaborate with their peers, work together, and also learn to solve problems.

Access to STEM materials in our classroom will give my students direct experience with applied science, engineering, and mathematics. They will be able to focus on academics and at the same time, enjoy learning. My students will be our future engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and computer scientists. Please help my students gain access to all of these wonderful STEM education materials and open their world. All of my students will benefit from the use of these materials greatly!
