Future Scientists: Anchoring Success

Help me give my students cork boards, chart paper and thumb tacks to create anchor charts in the science center.

My Project

Our students love science, however the standard curriculum is somewhat lacking in this area. Our special needs students need individualized instruction in science. I want to create anchor charts about science, including biology, earth science, climate science, and astronomy, to hang in our self-contained special needs classroom.

Anchor charts will be lasting reminders of science goals and concepts, which the students will see and learn from every day.

This chart paper and cork board will be put to good use in our classroom. Anchor charts can be switched out, depending on the lesson and learning standard. Having clearly displayed anchor charts will help our students grasp and memorize concepts. Thank you for helping me to clearly display learning targets and concepts for science in our special needs classroom.
