This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me make learning tangible with a Glowforge laser-cutting machine. My students attend a PHBAO (Predominantly Hispanic, Black, Asian, or other Non-Anglo) Title 1 school where most of the community is low-income.
This technology will future-proof my class and give my students the opportunity to bring their learning to life.
Having this technology will foster creative future Engineers and Designers. Students will be presented with design challenges to develop their creativity, critical thinking skills, and technical skills. Having The Glowforge in our classroom will give the students a learning opportunity that they would otherwise not have.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
