My Students
Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. As English language learners, books are so important to my students and are truly valued. My students are extremely curious about the world around them and are such hard workers who push through all the doubt and nay-sayers in their lives to accomplish their goals and smash them. My fifteen students come from families who are unable to provide them with a rich and vast literature choices within their homes and many live to far away from a public library. My students come to school and get lost in a magical world of literature and are able to escape their everyday life with the help of literature and their imagination.
My Project
These materials will help my with the standard K-2-ETS1-1: Ask questions, make observation, and gather information about a situation people want to change. It will also help my students to define simple problems that can be solved through the development of a new or improved object or tool. These tools will help the students to not only think about these problems but be able to build them and get hands on experience with designing and creating their designs to solve their problems. Students will also use these materials to test these materials to see if their design and creation solves its intended purpose.
