With these books my students will have access to rich literature and language that they wouldn’t otherwise have access to. Most of my students come from low income households and are unable to access books or other forms of literature. Many students do not even have the means to travel to the public library to access that resource. My students have very active and creative imaginations and reading is one way for them to escape their day to day life and jump into any world they create, whether it be swimming with sharks or looking inside of a human body and counting all the bones. These books will help my students take their learning to a deeper level and help improve their reading and language skills.
