My Project

Science is all around us. I want to help students realize that science explains their everyday experiences, especially the weather and climate that they are used to. To make the Earth Science units more interesting students will make their own meteorological tools: barometers, anemometers, hygrometers, and rain gauges. Making models of the water cycle will further encourage students to understand the connection that the water cycle has to weather and climate. Learning about ocean currents and climate zones and how temperature and exposure to sun varies in different areas of the world will be more interesting using hands on lab materials. My students love all hands on labs and experiments but the funds to supply the "fun" leaning are limited so receiving these supplies will start the party!!
