My students need a student organizer to organize their materials and projects to take home and keep in school. They also need a CD player and headphones to listen and learn to reading independently.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to find out about myself and my students. I am entering my fourth year as a first grade teacher in the Bronx. My school has over 1,000 students and is rated a tier 1 school (high poverty). I strive to give the 30 or so students that I teach the best education that I can. I'm warm, supportive and encouraging. I want my students to be the best they can be and strive to be anything they want to be.
My students don't have a lot of support at home, so I strive to create an environment where they have the support to try new things and are not afraid to take risks.
We do not get a classroom budget for school supplies so I try to do my best to supply my students with what I can on my own or are able to make. Any help would be greatly appreciated by my students, school, community and myself!
My Project
Your donation would make a huge difference in the lives of my students. The student organizer would enable the students to take ownership of their projects and supplies and keep them organized to take home or use in school. The organizer would give the students another place that belongs to them. It would be labeled with their names and would help our learning environment to be a warm, friendly and organized place to be.
The CD player with headphones would give the students a quiet opportunity to listen and read on their own.
It would help the students to feel independent as they learn to read by listening to fun literature and songs. This reading and listening opportunity would be so valuable to these students!
