My Project
Reading and writing skills are imperative for student success in academics as well as their post high school plans. I realize that not every freshman loves history, so I try to support students in their learning by teaching them other skills they will need in life; such as reading, writing, and public speaking; along with history of course.
I want to to give students access to engaging and age-appropriate books to help spark a love for reading and provide context to events in history.
Over the years, I have collected a small library, but many of the books are non-fiction, so I would love to provide students with more engaging historical fiction books to grow their love for reading and history. The other materials will help provide students with a sense of belonging in the class through decorations and cleanliness.
