My Project

A bit about our new situation...

My 6th graders are moving to their own satellite building this year, so in essence, we will be our own 6th grade community.

This is both scary and exciting for all of us! I am a new 6th grade teacher and would love to make this transition amazing which is why I need your help. These incoming 6th graders are motivated, curious, and in need of hands-on learning. They often lack access to quality materials that can truly bring science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to life.

I am requesting the essential items for STEM supplies like heat lamps, chemical molecular models, meter sticks, and materials for math and science notebooks like highlighters and fine tipped markers. In our classroom, students will have the chance to design, build, and engineer as they navigate math and science topics. This will help prepare them for their future in middle school courses and in STEM fields.

Hands-on STEM activities spark a passion in student learning, as well as teacher instruction! I am excited to have the resources that will turn our classroom into a creative lab where every student can think like an inventor, a coder, or an engineer.
