Future Earth Protectors: Growing Minds Through STEM and Sustainability

Help me give my students science kits, headphones, and whiteboard erasers to bring hands-on STEM learning to life and support engaging, interactive lessons in our classroom.

My Project

My second graders are growing up in a world where environmental awareness is more important than ever—and they care. They ask thoughtful questions about pollution, plant life, and how they can help protect the Earth. Their curiosity is natural, their compassion is real, and their eagerness to make a difference is inspiring. I want to nurture that spark by giving them hands-on opportunities to learn through meaningful, real-world science.

This project puts environmental learning into their hands—literally.

The light-up terrarium kits will help students grow and care for living ecosystems, teaching them about plant life, sustainability, and the importance of nurturing our natural world. The gross science kits add a sense of excitement while introducing topics like decomposition and chemical reactions that affect our environment. The headphones will allow them to engage in virtual environmental experiences, and the dry-erase tools will help us reduce paper waste while encouraging collaborative thinking. With these tools, my students will learn to think critically, act responsibly, and develop the kind of science-based problem-solving skills that our planet needs.
