This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My wonderful students come from low income families and too often worry about real life problems. During the previous school years, their schedules did not include any gym, arts, recess or even lunch in the cafeteria was a prevention to avoid cross contamination. In other words, there were no mental breaks, times to be creative, explore or just be a kid. Thing are finally feeling like the normal times. However, we are now facing with the challenge that students need to properly learn to interact with each other during recess and lunch.
I would like to offer my classroom a creative design space so my students can craft, illustrate and print various projects using a Cricut design space.
The Cricut Explore Air is an easy to use, do-it-yourself, personal cutting machine. It has endless project possibilities from custom stickers, greeting cards, various design apparel, water bottle designs. The project are endless with a Cricut. The creative process will be an amazing way to keep the kids busy and having an actual product will give them a sense of accomplishment. Students need to know they are all heard one way or another and that they are all celebrated and supported.
