it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
“Make each day your masterpiece.” John Wooden. My groups of energetic transitional kindergarten students are ready to begin a life long journey with a love for learning. We learn through hands-on learning experiences daily.
Our school serves a community where most have a home language other than English and receive free breakfast and lunch.
What our community lacks in money we make up for with our high-spirited desire to learn. The Arts are needed to build many skills while they inspire young learners because school is fun too! Experiences that other students may have in other areas I try to incorporate into my Transitional Kindergarten class as well.
My Project
The art materials that your are generously contributing towards will help supply our young artists with art materials we currently lack. They will be used to inspire our young scholars to try new things. Their little hands will be able to create incredible pieces of art. The colorful craft tape and textured collage shapes will allow them to add pieces to their projects as work on original artwork. Your donations will continue their learning and help them grow into readers, writers, artist and to develop art appreciation, fine motor skills and build language.
Expressing ones self through language is natural but to do it through art is a gift.
Giving the students a chance to create their own masterpieces, gives them a chance for vocabulary building.
