Future Artificial Intelligence Talent Search

My students need a Lego Mindstorms Robot Kit to develop interests in Robotics. We are trying to start a robotics club at our school and this will be our first step.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Currently, I teach in a low-income, high needs high school. My students are part of what's called the IT Academy, which from 9th to 12th grade they learn different Computer Science Skills and earn certifications. In their 9th grade year, they learn about IT Fundamentals, 10th Grade is Web Development, 11th they learn Python Programming Language in AP Computer Science Principles, and finally in their 12th Grade Class they learn Java in AP Computer Science A.

The skills that my students learn in this class have a chance to permanently impact their lives for the better.

These classes can give them the tools needed to make them college and career ready. It's so important that we can provide these services to them, so that we can change their path in life.

My Project

How do you find out if one of your students have a passion in robotics and artificial intelligence? You start a robotics club to build interest!

This robot will be the first step in allowing our school to create a robotics after school program.

We will use this robot in an after school robotics program to develop engineering and programming skills that are sorely needed in this underrepresented group of children. With interest, we may find the World's next A.I. superstar.

Please help us raise the funds to make this dream a reality. You might make the difference in the student's future for years to come.
