My Project
We are developing the competitive sports program at our Title I elementary school. Our students LOVE soccer. They play in the school yard after school and in the parks. Some even come to school wearing jerseys from their favorite teams or players. When they heard we were intending to start a team, they could not contain their excitement.
As we do not have a proper pitch, we will train to play futsal, an indoor, high-energy version of the beloved game of soccer.
Futsal is played on the gymnasium floor, and the balls used for this version of the game are designed to reduce bounce. They are smaller and will move quickly along the gymnasium floor. We need more futsal balls to support teams across 3 grade levels (3rd, 4th, and 5th). With sufficient equipment, every player will maximize their touches and improve their play in preparation for the upcoming season.
