This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Everyone loves a comfortable place to sit and read a good book!

My Kindergarten students need comfortable seating so that they will spend more time with books.

My students are working hard to build stamina in reading. They may not have books to enjoy at home on their couch. I would like to provide them this opportunity in my classroom. I envision partners reading and discussing a book on these colorful beanbag seats which will motivate and encourage my students while improving their literacy skills.

My Project

Young readers need to spend time enjoying books. Providing comfortable seating in our classroom library will help my students to enjoy the library center. Students can read to themselves or share a book with a friend while using this furniture. The bright colors and coziness will add warmth and excitement to our room.

The amount of time children spend reading books is an indicator of how successful a reader they will become.

Help my students to read longer by giving them a comfortable space to enjoy our classroom library.
