My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will be immediately put to good use. We were gifted a Cricut in a previous DonorsChoose campaign and we are now at a place where are able to expand our fundraising efforts by creating items for the patrons of our shows to purchase in order to support our efforts. My students are very creative in what they design to sell. We hope that with these additional supplies and materials we will be able to expand our efforts. We have used our Cricut to begin fundraising so that students at our Title 1 school can attend competitions, purchase tickets to touring shows, and to help fund our productions.

Our student leadership team designs, creates and sells all of the products that we create with these materials.

They are learning how to market their products, how to do cost benefit analysis to decide if a product is making them enough money to continue, as well as budgets and advertising. It is a great project based education that mixes business, design, and technology.

All proceeds from the selling of these products will be used to benefit our students by giving them access to experiences they would be unable to afford on their own.
