Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students are apart of our after school program. Our after school program is called COOL school. We focus on students who are below grade level, English language learners and low-income students.
In recent years we have lost a majority of our funding making it hard to supply our classrooms.
Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing practice assignments at home because of a lack of supplies and resources.
My students are hard-working and excited to learn. giving them an environment to do so is my goal!
My Project
In order to create more funding for our program students brainstormed some ideas that we can do at our COOL school events. Some of the ideas included selling popcorn, snow cones etc. In order to make it cost-effective for our program and to generate the most funding we would like to invest in some of the machines with our donors' help!
The money that could be raised by having these materials will help students experience things they would not normally, like field trips to zoos, bowling, creeks and much more.
