Help me give my students a classroom rug where they can comfortably have a place to sit during circle time. They also need organizers so they are able to easily access their supplies and school work!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am excited to attest that this is my first year teaching overall and teaching at this school. I will be teaching a vibrant group of first graders who are eager to learn and take part in all that our upcoming, exciting school year has to offer.
Our students at Loomis are very expressive, kind, and passionate about learning.
I don't want them to lack any materials they may need to complete assignments and activities. I solely want them to focus on the joys of learning and I want their experiences as first graders to be one they will never forget.
I am grateful and eager to be working with such a magnificent group this year and I just want to make sure that I can contribute as much as I can to give them a nurturing and effortful learning environment.
My Project
Going into the school year as a first year teacher, I want to make sure that I am prepared as much as possible to welcome my first grade students! For this project, I really wanted to make sure that my classroom is organized so that more focus can be geared toward class instruction. The rug is one of the main things I need for the classroom so that my students can be comfortable during whole group instruction along with other mini in class activities. I also do not want students worrying about needing supplies which is why I want to have a supply station at each table.
First year teacher or not, my kids deserve to have ample supplies to assist with them having a fun and successful school year.
I want to give them everything they need, I just need a little help.
