This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My name is John Hill and I am a second year high school band teacher. I teach at Lake Taylor High School, which is located in Norfolk, VA. I created this fundraiser so my students could have the necessary tools needed to perform in my classroom.

Currently, we have limited mouthpieces for my program and a plethora of instruments for my music classes.

The need for mouthpieces are greater in my woodwind and brass instruments. I'd greatly appreciate any support towards purchasing these items for my classes. They are hardworking students and they deserve these items.
