This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The boys soccer team is seeking funding to support the purchase of essential training and game-day equipment, including agility ladders, soccer balls, whistles, pinnies, and cones. These tools are vital for skill development, safety, and structured training. Agility ladders and cones help improve coordination, speed, and footwork—key components of soccer performance. Soccer balls ensure each player has access to functional gear during drills, while pinnies allow coaches to run efficient scrimmages and team-building exercises. Whistles and other coaching tools help maintain discipline and structure, promoting a positive learning environment.

The primary goal of this project is to foster athletic growth, teamwork, and leadership skills among our student-athletes.

The team serves a diverse group of middle school students in the Southside of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, many of whom come from underserved communities with limited access to extracurricular resources. With adequate equipment, we aim to create a structured, inclusive, and motivational program that encourages students to stay active, improve their physical and mental health, and develop lifelong habits of discipline and cooperation. This funding will help level the playing field and allow our team to compete with pride in our local school league.

Ultimately, we envision a program that not only builds athletic talent but also supports academic achievement and character development. Soccer can be a transformative outlet, and by equipping our team with the right resources, we empower our students to set goals, work hard, and believe in themselves. Your support would directly impact the lives of these young athletes by enhancing their training experience and helping us build a lasting program that serves our school and community with pride.
