My Students

My 22 fourth grade students are from East Grand Forks, Minnesota. We are a Title I School district that supports students from many demographic realms.

They make up a creative, fun, energetic and kind group of people who are eager to learn.

Our school serves students from grades 3-5 and provides a challenging curriculum, supportive staff, and a safe learning environment. Our goal is to prepare our students for a successful future. Our school motto is "Excellence - The expectation for every learner, every day!"

My Project

By providing my students with a wobble stool, students would be able to "wobble" while they are learning. These stools provide the students with a chance to focus on their work instead of unwanted energy.

We currently have six Wobble Stools at our front table, and the students wish to use them all the time.

By having one for every student, we would reduce this problem and increase their focus time. I want to provide my students with this opportunity because I see an increased amount of movement in our room, and this project would help reduce that and increase the amount of time focused on learning and assignments.
