My Project
My speech language pathologist on campus created the most amazing functional grocery store based on a years amount of work and dedication in hopes of teaching functional and realistic vocational and daily living skills.
Given manipulatives and real life applicable tangible items that replicate a kitchen scenery, our students will be able to learn and apply those skills and be successful in a career they feel confident in.
Given functional kitchen and house related items will allow my team to intentionally teach skills needed in the workforce and in their daily lives and will allow us to practice this as apart of our new program ‘functional Friday’ which has been growing!
