This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Being a teacher in a low-income area gives me the opportunity to teach children while opening their minds to many possibilities. My students walk into the classroom every day with smiles on their faces, high fives or even hugs, always eager to learn. They amaze me with their insight and imaginative ideas. As their teacher, I hope to give them the best learning experience so they are excited to continue learning.
My 2nd graders are eager learners, willing to take on challenges.
I would love to have them explore the curriculum by having a hands on approach to learning. I would love to be able to continue by bringing exploration and discovery to them using STEM bins. They are hard workers and love to shine!
My Project
The STEM bins will help encourage students to be creative. Have STEM bins in the classroom will give the students the opportunity to solve problems using real-world challenges. The STEM bins will give the students to opportunity to continue learing while giving themselves a break. Students will be working collabortively with partners which helps children how to listen to one another and take turns.
These wonderful STEM bins can provide my students with what it is like to be an engineer, problem solvers and how to work cooperatively with others.
They will be a part of the daily routine. Children can use the bins when they finish their work early working with other students. They will be having fun while learning.
