Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are wonderful children who are motivated and eager to learn. All of my students are English Language Learners. We have an 87% poverty rate and our school qualifies for the free lunch program. My students are bused in from a community with a heavy gang presence.
Each day my students walk into my classroom with a positive attitude and an inquisitive mind.
They are loving, respectful, caring, and energetic. They show a thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to learn something new each day.
My Project
These materials will help my students gain a love for movement and exercise. Living a healthy life style means being able to learn about movement.
Teaching students physical education is vital in their success in and outside of the classroom.
These resources will allow my students to get moving outside of the classroom. They will have fun with physical education. The hula hoops, agility cones, and yoga cards will give my students access to physical education through fun activities and resources. Every child needs to know the importance of exercise and how it can effect their minds, bodies, and spirits!
