My Students

My students are curious, hands-on learners who need stimulating and engaging materials to help them build a solid reading foundation! Helping students learn to read is one of my passions and the primary reason I became a teacher! Being able to help my students learn the letter sound correlations in a fun, hands-on, and engaging way would be so beneficial. My students love colorful objects, “playing,” and building. So they would be thrilled if they could learn to read in this way!

My Project

The students in my class will use these materials to help them with manipulating sounds, making and blending words, and spelling. All of these activities can help form a solid foundation for reading!

When students have a good understanding of letters and sounds, spelling and decoding words becomes much easier and students become more fluent readers.

The magnet wands will help them “blend” the sounds (magnetic chips) into words. The letter tiles will help with making words, word patterns, and spelling words. They are color coded by vowels and consonants which will help the students learn the vowel consonant relationships.
