FUN With Hands-On Science!

Help me give my students books about frogs and real-life frog habitats. The raise- a-frog kit is such an amazing experience for students. The students will be able to observe the tadpoles grow into frogs.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being a teacher in a low-income area gives me the opportunity to teach children while opening their minds to many possibilities. My students walk into the classroom every day with smiles on their faces, ready to learn. They amaze me with their insight and imaginative ideas. As their teacher, I hope to give them the best learning experience so they are eager to continue learning.

My 3rd graders are eager learners, willing to take on challenges.

They enjoy movement around the classroom and collaborating with one another on projects and assignments. They are hard workers and love to shine!

My Project

This year my students will be reading and researching reptiles and amphibians. Having a real live frog in the classroom will only make learning more fun. The students will not only be able to read about frogs, but they will be able to observe one grow, right before their eyes.

The Tadpole to Frog Kit offers children a unique opportunity to grow frogs from tadpoles.

This is a great way to teach kids about the frog life cycle and metamorphosis. Kids will get to see this amazing transformation take place in front of them. While watching the frogs, students will be writing poems, reading books, and sharing what they have learned.

Growing animals brings a sense of accomplishment to children. They will be excited to show and tell others about their classroom pet frogs.
