This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of our students lack the materials to practice learning at home.
This project will help supply materials for students to take home and use to practice, so they can thrive in the classroom.
Educational supplies are often expensive and with the cost of living rising, it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to support their children at home. I want students to have the opportunity to practice their fluency and counting at home, as well as in the classroom. Students love counting, but the tiles usually get moved around, making it hard for them to touch and count. The counting trays will allow students to practice counting without having to worry about the tiles. Students love flash cards, and allowing them to take some home will give them extra practice.
