This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My new students are expected to be 12 second grade students in a self-contained Special Education classroom. They will be learning with a hybrid plan where they will be in the classroom 2-3 times a week and learning remotely the other days. They will be welcomed with an inviting, organized, and safe room with individual areas properly spaced out for fun and engaging learning.
They will be my ‘shining stars’ who will come to school eager to ‘brighten’ their days and 'soar' with exciting learning opportunities.
Students will be challenged with new routines and will be given a caring environment where they can be their best selves.
My Project
All materials will help make a difference in providing a variety of ways for my special needs students to acquire knowledge using all their senses. These tools will be able to be used to provide in-class and remote instruction. Dry erase and magnetic tools are reusable and fun to use. The teacher will be able to present engaging reading, writing, and math modeling more efficiently and effectively. Students will be able to use colorful tools to help them with small groups and independent learning of reading, writing, and math.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
