I am currently teaching kindergarteners who love technology and love to learn. Their personalities are carefree and excited about school and learning. Every day their faces light up from the moment they walk in the room and can't wait to get back when they leave for the day.
The students strive to find ways to explore using manipulatives in the classroom.
But the really amazing thing they do is look for ways to learn more about things they see. For example, they may pick up a book about a particular subject and what more information than what is in the book!
My Project
Osmos are an excellent tools that can be used with the Kindles that are already in my classroom! These kits will allow my students to learn both reading and math skills in order to expand their learning using technology. The kits offer language arts skills where students can learn spelling and letter sounds as well as math skills with counting and identifying numbers.
The benefit of these Osmos starter kits is that it engages the students with fun games so that students are learning when they think they are just playing!
My students love using Kindles in the literacy and math centers. These Osmos will be incorporated into the centers so that students are practicing the skills they have been learning.
One other benefit of these is that there are additional kits that I can add in the future to learn additional skills such as coding and fractions. These Osmos offer a great opportunity now and also offer a great expansion for the future.
