This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work in a Title 1 school where 100% of the students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. I currently have 15 scholars who are eager to learn and despite the challenges in today's world, they come in with. huge smile that can be seen through their masks.
My favorite part of the day is our end of the day class meeting, when they each get one minute to share how they feel or what they liked that we did during the day.
My Project
I have recently welcomed my students back into the classroom, as we had been learning online. Due to COVID, students need individual supplies and cleaning supplies to keep us all safe. These materials will allow students to have alternate recess materials when it is raining or too cold and we're unable to go outside. ALl these materials will be for my students to enjoy learning, whilst staying safe in the classroom. I know my students will be excited to receive their own "fun bins" to use for indoor recess knowing it is for them only.
