This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Math games are effective tools for developing fluency in education because they promote engagement, motivation, and repetitive practice in a low-stress environment. By incorporating play, students are more likely to participate actively, which helps reinforce key concepts such as number sense, operations, and problem-solving skills. I support students on an IEP from 2nd grade to 6th grade. Many need help with fluency of basic math facts.

Games also provide immediate feedback, allowing learners to self-correct and improve over time.

Additionally, they encourage strategic thinking and collaboration, particularly in group settings.

Research shows that consistent use of math games helps improve speed and accuracy in basic skills, leading to greater confidence and long-term retention of mathematical concepts.
