Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am requesting these specific lego items to make a different in my students' learning. These items will immediately be an attention-grabber. Who doesn't love legos?
My students have a hard time grasping geography and places around the world, especially because most of them have not been outside of their bubble of the valley and Los Angeles.
The globe would be a fun project to do that will help them see what is out there in the world and all the possibilities. After it is built, it would also be such a cool globe to constantly refer back to as we talk about different places around the world.
I have been incorporating more of climate literacy and consciousness for my students to all be future leaders to protect our Earth. We have been going on many field trips that teach us about this and we have been learning of ways that we can better our environment by small choices we can make in the everyday. The botanical garden set would be a fun way to be conscious plant and tree lovers!
Lastly, my students LOVE axolotls and Minecraft so much. This is just a fun thing for me to have to connect with my students.
