My students need these hands-on Rainbow Fraction Circles to further their knowledge of fractions and how fractions apply in the real world!

My Students

When you walk into our room, you will find students engaged in active learning in a comfortable environment. With our innovative "deskless" classroom students are able to come in choose what they think will be most comfortable learning spot and seating for them and can get right to the business of learning.

Students learn how to be leaders in their learning by being given the opportunity to choose the learning spot that they will be most focused on their learning in!

Students are allowed to maintain movement with the alternative seating so they are able to keep circulation and brain activity flowing.

My Project

In my classroom I strive to deliver lessons in an engaging way that will help to solidify the information given to my students for a life long learning experience.

I have found the most efficient and effective way to learn and retain fraction information is hands-on practice.

When students are allowed to work with manipulatives, they retain the information longer and are able to apply that knowledge in the real world.

The Rainbow Fraction Circles will provide me the resources to individualize my lessons for students based upon their knowledge of fractions and will help them to develop stronger foundations of knowledge to be applied throughout their math classes in the future.
