My Students

My first-grade class loves to learn! They are inquisitive, creative, and fun! They are constantly looking for ways to express themselves and continue to amaze me. First graders learn so much in one year both socially and academically. They are becoming responsible for their own learning and figuring out what makes them special. They are so unique and different from each other in many ways. I want them to feel challenged and empowered to problem-solve as they learn how to become more independent!

My Project

The last couple of years have been difficult for Utah students. The coronavirus has forced a lot of kids to have to learn from home, and young kids struggle with at-home technology use. I'd love to get kids back to the imaginative play that many have lost in the last few years. I want them to get a chance to be with other kids playing together and improve their social skills. The games and flexible seating will help my students learn in the classroom setting. The books will help students connect to reading again with important lessons. The printer will help me as a teacher prepare for lessons outside of the classroom, especially when I'm at home. Thank you for your support!
