This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is made up of a variety of families from different neighborhoods, educational backgrounds and economic groups. One of the many things we all have in common is a love and desire for these children to all be successful.
We are in the midst of distance learning and students will be at home while teachers are teaching from school.
My Project
With distance learning going on, children do not have access to our classroom and school libraries. Therefore, I am sending home books for children to read. We are only passing out books 1x/month so I need to beef up my library and be able to provide great interesting just right books to my students.
I want children to have physical books in their hands since they are spending so much time on the screens.
These books will allow me to send more home to families to read during distant learning time!
