My Project

Positive incentives can be a powerful tool in motivating students to make good choices. I use Class Dojo daily with my students and they can earn points for following directions, paying attention, helping others, being on task, participating in class discussions, and completing their work. I want to motivate, support, and reward each child by encouraging them to work hard, and make good choices. So they are able to earn Class Dojo points, but they are never taken away even if they forget to follow the rules or don't make a good choice.

As a teacher, I try to support their social emotional learning by encouraging good behavior and speaking individually to students when they need help making better choices.

I am hoping that by providing a variety of classroom incentives and prizes that they can use their Class Dojo points to earn, the students will be excited and more motivated to want to learn, participate, and do well in school!
