Fun in the Sand

My students need a sand box in order to enhance their play yard as well as their sensory and social skill play time.

My Students

Children learn through play and experience. This sand box will give my students the chance to explore through sensory, social, and imaginary play on a daily basis. The benefits this item can bring to my students are endless.

My students are four years old and in Transitional Kindergarten.

This grade level is designed for social and sensory growth. They love to learn and explore through play. We recently moved to a new location at a wonderful elementary school. The area we are using is large and perfect for growth. However, the play yard does not have much in regards to structure and equipment. This is why a sandbox will fit perfectly into our setting and be enjoyed by many students to come.

My Project

The sand box we are asking for is a large five foot by five foot structure. It is large enough to have multiple students use the equipment at the same time. The students will be using the sand box for sensory play, imaginary play, community lessons such as building houses, science lessons such as making volcanoes, and so much more.

The simple idea of a sand box will bring so much daily joy to my students.

Last year we had a sandbox of this same size and it was the number one sought after activity when outdoors. My TK class thanks you very much for your consideration and looks forward to many hours of sandy adventure fun.
