Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Next year, I will have a class full of energetic and eager 2nd graders! They deserve the best possible learning environment to help them grow and succeed as I know they can achieve so much!

When in my classroom, we are all scientists, teammates, authors, mathematicians, artists, dreamers, and world changers. My students work every day to better ourselves to better the world we live in.
My Project
Providing students with various types of writing materials is a great way to keep them motivated! Depending on the assignment/activity, students can choose to use pencils, colored pencils, crayons, and even markers. Whiteboards and markers is just another fun way for students to practice writing! They will also be used for phonics to help them create and break down complex words! In addition to using the whiteboards for literacy, they will also be used during math. They will use them to practice facts and various math topics throughout the year!
With a class of 2nd graders, fun needs to be had!
Students are so much more engaged and invested when the learning is fun. Educational games are a great way to do so! My 2nd graders will use these games to help introduce and reinforce concepts previously taught. They will be utilized during small group work as well as "You Pick!" time.
