This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege of working with some of the most hardworking students I have ever met. They might come from low-income, high-poverty areas, but their thirst for knowledge is inspiring. Our school is Title I where the majority of students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Even though every student understands where they come from, when they come to my class, they are like every other child in the world. They love music, sports, TV, movies, and video games. They are smart, funny, creative, happy, and motivated young people.

My Project

As a health and physical education teacher, I am constantly looking for creative ways to have my students be active throughout the day. These footballs will give me another option to use throughout the school year.

I am going to use "the fun grip footballs" to teach the students how to play the game of football.

With the obesity rates being as high as they are in our country, it is important to get our students up and moving as often as possible. Introducing fun and new ways to work out helps motivate students. The younger we can reach students and motivate them to be active, the healthier they will be later in life.
