Students braved the classroom and returned to face-to-face learning two years ago. We can still see the negative effects of distance learning in many of our students. Social skills are at an all-time low, and many students are behind academically. Students are having a hard time developing relationships in the classroom.
Students came in very low and that drastically changed how we are teaching.
I already have the Operations and Numbers math file folder games and my students love them. I would like to add the other two file folder games to make a complete set so that my students can practice each standard. We will use Scholastic News to engage in topics that are happening all around the world and to practice our reading skills through different modalities. The students will use the phonics games during ELA small groups and any free time at the end of the day.
