My Students

My students are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. All of my students are diagnosed with different disabilities, and many of them are English Language Learners (ELL) as well. They come from low-income families and receive free school breakfast and lunch. Despite all this, they are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. The students in my class love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on.

My Project

All of my students struggle to learn, especially with their disabilities. I want to make learning as fun as it can be for them. My students are tactile learners and love games; learning through games is something they all will benefit from.

The phonics, word building, and math games will give my students the motivation they need to learn, and feel successful, while having lots of fun.

The phonics games will help my students remember letter sounds and sight words they need to know, as well as read any words with blends, digraphs or vowel patterns. The math games will help my students learn the basic multiplication facts and learn everyday math skills such as counting and spending money. Students can also take these games home and play with their families. When parents/families are involved in student learning, it can have a great impact on the children.
