This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classes are filled with wonderful and diverse students who are very eager to learn. Our school is located in a low-income community, which can make teaching a challenge at times. The shortage of funds makes it difficult for us to get the resources needed.

Projects like these will get our students excited about learning and keep them engaged and focused while having fun.

My students love to learn. One of our favorite quotes is, “The only limits in life are the ones you make.” – Anon.

My Project

By the end of the school year, we would like our students to be more self-confident and see for themselves that hard work pays off. The Nintendo Switch consoles and PS4 Virtual Reality will be used to play different types of games, but all of them will have an "E" rating, which means for everyone. Believe it or not, video games can be beneficial to our students. They can help teach creativity and problem-solving skills. Our students will learn to work in teams, take instructions from their peers and build their self-confidence. Video games will help create social opportunities and increase brain flexibility as well. This helps our students when it comes to making decisions.

It will help improve the lives of our children because not only will they be working together, but it will help build positive classroom climates.

The chargers will charge the Nintendo Switch controllers and PS4 Virtual Reality set. The controllers will be used for game play. Our students can use the chairs to relax while playing video games. The games will help expand our video gaming library.
